Sapphira is everything we prayed for and then some! She is very special to us - we tragically had to say goodbye to her incredible dam, Emma, after three days of intensive care at VMRCVM following her birth. Sapphira is the first (and hopefully the last) orphan foal that we have raised. Raising her has truly been a joy that we are thankful for following a heartbreaking tragedy. Sapphira means precious blue jewel, and she is certainly precious and dear to our hearts!
